Dance is the oldest form of art, and Belly Dancing is one of the oldest dances known to civilization. It was
originated in the Middle East, a ritual practiced among women, as a celebration of the power and sanctity
of life in a woman's body. It then evolved into folk art. Finally it was refined into artistic entertainment in the
20th Century.
The enchantment of Belly Dancing has persevered over many centuries. Birnur Siren is a Turkish dancer
who believes that this has endured for so song because it represents the embodiment of the sacredness of
the female to birth the next generation. Women all over the world are embracing this both as a celebration
of their free expression, and femaleness; and as a healthy and exciting exercise routine. The art of Belly
Dancing has expanded into fully developed stage and screen theatrical productions.

Point of Infinity Healing & Retreat Center Conscious Community, only two hours drive from New York City.
An intimate retreat (limited to 8 participants!) for intensive personal dance work; and exploring spiritual, sensual, and mystical sides of Belly Dance.
Open to Beginners to Advance Dancers. Participation limited to create a more personalized experience in the peaceful atmosphere and the enchanted, mystical natural surroundings.

8:00 – 9:00 PM – Meditation followed by Presentation on the Spiritual, Mystical and Sensual History on Belly Dance, and group discussion

The Point of Infinity, located on a magical 38-acre wooded parcel in the astonishingly beautiful Catskill Mountains near Ellenville, NY, has a peaceful atmosphere and an enchanted, mystical natural mountaintop plateau. And we will make it even more magical!
