"Birnur is one of Turkeys finest treasures! She's an Incredibly Talented bellydancer who I've had the pleasure of working with through both the United Nations and NYC Arabic Language & Culture Club. Her students all rave about her wonderful bellydance classes. She's well-respected among her friends and peers as well, something that isn't all that easy in this business."

“I was at the Sullivan Room on Thursday night, October 28th and saw you perform. I went because I know Richard Hagopian and he's wonderful on the oud. When I saw you, all I can say is "YAHSHAH"!!!!
I used to go to all the nightclubs on 28th & 2nd Avenue in the 60's and you reminded me so much of Salihah, a fabulous Turkish dancer in her day. Your style is just beautiful....you are an incredible dancer. (I was there with two friends of mine - I regret not having brought my boyfriend! Boy oh boy, did he miss out!)
I'm of Armenian descent - both my parents were born in Turkey (Istanbul and Adabazar) and I was brought up with a great deal of Turkish influence....language, food, dance, music. The music is in my blood so I truly appreciate it when I see an authentic dancer and not some cute kid from Brooklyn who took lessons and looks like a robot! (Sorry, but it's true.)
I'd like to know when and where you may be performing in the future. Please let me know.
Again, I must tell you what a great dancer you are, and thank for a wonderful evening.” Zabelle

"Birnur is a true lover of the Dance, and I am proud to call her my friend. So many dancers have become lost in the world of fusion, that iit is a pleasure to see a dancer who takes the traditional work seriously, while being appraised of the newer styles as well. I am a hard core Traditionalist, learning from the Egyptian greats, but Birnur's Turkish Style and more modern dance are great to watch!" Basmah El Anabrim
